Redmarley Church Heritage Society has been formed to raise funds for the repair of the fabric of St Bartholomew’s Redmarley. To begin with, our principal concern was the restoration and making safe of the church tower. That project has now been completed and we have turned our attention to the provision of toilet facilities at the church and the treatment of severe damp problems.

The committee looks at ways of raising funds, applies for any eligible grant funding and organises activities for everyone to enjoy as we forge ahead to ensure this historic building remains open for current and future generations. Therefore a number of money raising activities take place each year. These events will be varied and, it is hoped, will cater for all tastes and interests of our villagers. This community project will succeed with the enthusiastic support from all. Ongoing updates will be given through Windcross, local newspapers and the village website.

Time has taken its toll over the years and a sympathetic restoration of the building is now essential.

• Both phases of tower restoration have been completed and cost just over £132,500. We have been able to remove the tower from the English Heritage AT RISK register
• Comprehensive repairs are needed to the internal walls.
• Restoration of several stained glass windows is required.
• Facilities within the church are in urgent need of repair and updating, particularly the provision of a toilet.

There is a display in the church and our leaflets are available there.

Any donations are eligible for Gift Aid which adds 25% to the value of a gift. You can click here to download our leaflet/joining form.

The accounts for the year to 31st December 2022 can be viewed here.
