Redmarley Church Heritage Society has been formed to raise funds for the repair of the fabric of St Bartholomew’s Redmarley, with our principal concern being the restoration of the church tower. The committee is headed by Hilary Morton as Chair, with Peter Condon (Treasurer), Ann Cooper (Minutes Secretary), Anne Jones and Mark Johnson. Our patron is Jonny Niblett.

The committee looks at ways of raising funds, applies for any eligible grant funding, has formed a Friends group and organises activities for everyone to enjoy as we forge ahead to ensure this historic building remains open for current and future generations. Therefore a number of money raising activities take place each year. These events will be varied and, it is hoped, will cater for all tastes and interests of our villagers. This community project will succeed with the enthusiastic support from all. Ongoing updates will be given through Leadon Life, local newspapers and the village website.

You can give us your support by joining Redmarley Church Heritage Society. Time has taken its toll over the years and a sympathetic restoration of the building, especially the tower which is on the English Heritage AT RISK register, is now essential.

• The first phase of tower restoration has been completed and cost just under £100,000. We estimate that the next phase of replacing perished stone on the lower faces of the tower will cost in the region of £50,000.
• Comprehensive repairs are needed to the internal walls.
• Restoration of several stained glass windows is required.
• Facilities within the church are in urgent need of repair and updating.

There is a display in the church and our leaflets are available in the church and at various local retailers. Your membership donation is eligible for Gift Aid which adds 25% to the value of any gift. You can click here to download our leaflet/joining form.
